Proverb

Adasamma ani kyiri sɛbeɛ, nso obiara wɔ bi gu ne yam.

Translation

Human beings hate the sight of excreta, but everyone has it in their stomach.

Comment

The idiomatic meaning of this expression is that certain things are an integral part of life, whether we like it or not. The non-traditional response appears to confuse this proverb with another one: “adasamma ani kyiri deɛ ɔso ntakera kyɛ” which means humans resent one who wears a crown of feathers, i.e., people resent great/successful people.
