Aka erĩ nĩ, nyũngũ igĩrĩ cia ũrogi.

Translation

Two wives are two pots of poison.

Comment

The traditional proverb realises that in polygamous marriages, the husband is not attracted to the wives in the same way and the wives are therefore wont to be jealous of one another. In such circumstances, a wife may wish ill for her co-wife.
