Proverb

Huu kaɓɓuɗo fauru hanko andi no fittataandu.

Translation

Whoever ties up a hyena, must know how to free it.

Comment

Being a wild animal, the hyena, unlike the cow, is not usually tied to a stead. The message in the traditional proverb is an admonition: whoever has control over a problem should know how to resolve it; and also, one must start only what one is capable of accomplishing.
