Proverb

Kũhoya ti, kũiya.

Translation

Begging is not stealing.

Comment

While the original proverb justifies begging, the postproverbial dignifies it because it is does not signify lack. This is so because none has everything or nothing. Hence, metaphorically, one will be seen to beg or seek what they lack.
