Proverb

Ko nyami dilaaru ɗalata, kutiiru/lahooru.

Translation

A person who eats a fox will not spare a dog.

Comment

The metaphor of the fox and the dog in the traditional proverb describes a situation whereby a person is identified with a certain character, usually of a dubious nature, such as, “a person who tells lies can equally cheat”. In the postproverbial, there is a direct reference to the cunningness of the fox.
