Proverb

Mũceera na mũkũndũ,akũndũkaga o take.

Translation

He who keeps the company of the corrupt becomes corrupt.

Comment

The difference between the two proverbs is on responsibility. The semantic use of the word ‘blame’ in the postproverbial shows that everyone is responsible for their actions. In the tradional proverb, one’s behaviour is influenced by the company he/she keeps.
