Proverb

Wa Ngai, ũraragio na magoto.

Translation

God’s fire is kept alight by banana leaves.

Comment

The original proverb is philosophical on the nature and supremacy of God, that whatever appears impossible to man is possible with God. The postproverbial is however more pragmatic and religiously rational that whatever is done for God’s sake earns a reward.
